👩🍳 How to Make It
1. Prepare the Sheet Pan
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Roast the Garlic Butter Steak and Shrimp
In a large bowl, toss the steak cubes and shrimp with the melted butter, olive oil, minced garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated. Spread everything into a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Roast for 10–12 minutes, or until the steak is caramelized and cooked to your preferred doneness, and the shrimp are pink and opaque.
3. Make the Crunchy Slaw
While the surf and turf cooks, combine the shredded purple cabbage, cilantro, lime juice, and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Toss until evenly coated and crisp.
4. Blend the Smoked Jalapeño Crema
In a blender or food processor, combine the avocado, Greek yogurt (or sour cream), roasted jalapeño, garlic, and a squeeze of fresh lime juice. Blend until smooth, creamy, and velvety. Adjust the consistency with a splash of water if needed.
5. Assemble the Lettuce Wraps
Layer two lettuce leaves together for extra support. Fill each with a generous spoonful of the crunchy cabbage slaw, then top with the hot garlic butter steak and shrimp.
6. Garnish and Serve
Drizzle the smoked jalapeño crema generously over each lettuce wrap and serve immediately with extra lime wedges and fresh cilantro, if desired.
